Leadership from tourism stakeholders
Let us help you turn your island getaways into sustainable holidays!
Many dive centres and other tourism businesses in Malaysia's Marine Parks are members of programmes that recognise good practices & leadership in sustainable tourism, such as Green Fins and ASEAN Green Hotel Standard.
Others implement efforts that support sustainability in varying degrees, such as making available water refill stations.
You can find them on our maps in each of the Marine Park sections through the related map layers.
Responsible scuba diving
Dive centres with Green Fins membership adopt the Green Fins Code of Conduct for responsible marine tourism operations, and have passed annual assessments.
Sustainable accommodations
Hotels assessed against the ASEAN Green Hotel Standard follow sustainability guidelines which cover energy and water use efficiency, responsible waste management, as well as social impact.
